It has been another great week on the Choose to Lose diet! I am happy that I lost again, of course I wish I had another week like last week, but it is a loss and when you look at the total pounds lost, 8.4 in only 3 weeks, that makes me really excited! AND can I just tell that I couldn't stop smiling the first time I saw that I was out of the 2's!! I will never see 200+ on the scale again!

I can't say enough good things about the diet, I really can't. I think the biggest thing is that I am truly not feeling deprived. The food I am eating is really good. Yes, I would like to eat some extra peanut butter occasionally, but for the most part, I am content with what I am able to eat. And I always have Saturday to eat what I want...gotta love that!

THE GOOD...
  • Besides one meal that wasn't perfect, I stuck to the plan all week! All week, again! I am on a roll, people!
  • I wasn't great about filling my water jug, but I definitely drank a ton of water! I am sure enough, but next week, I am going to try to fill my jug, just to be sure! It definitely helps that I am still feeling thirsty all the time, so I am always reaching for a drink!
  • I made up two really yummy meals this week! I posted one on the blog yesterday...here is a sneak peak of the picture, if you didn't see it! If you love buffalo sauce, go see the recipe, here.

THE BAD AND THE UGLY...
  • I went out on a dinner date with my favorite little man on Sunday this week, and I ate a piece of bread with butter (it was a low carb day) which I should have skipped all together, but I only had one small piece. I ordered a salad and there were two things on the salad I should have asked them to omit and I didn't (on purpose), and then I forgot to ask for the dressing on the side. So although I had good intentions, this wasn't the perfect meal. But the rest of the day was, and I just got right back on track, Monday morning.
  • I haven't been getting up early enough. This is kind of a biggie. I am still struggling with going to bed early. Why can't I do it. I will tell you exactly what happens. I stay up late, then I still get up early (compared to when I go to sleep) because I have to get up with the kids, so by 3pm I am exhausted. I push through this exhaustion (because let's be honest, I don't have time to take a nap) and by the time the kids are in bed, I have my second wind. I am not even tired come 8pm. I know what I need to do, but so far I am not doing it. I need to just set a bed time and go to bed, why is that so hard?
  • I haven't started exercising. Obviously, I am still losing weight, so I am pumped! But, I know that I need to add exercise in the mix. I can't do it with diet alone, although it has been nice to focus on just one of the two obstacles for a few weeks! I think though, that I would see bigger numbers on the scale after an almost perfect week, than I did today, had I been exercising. So, it is time!

So, the plan! This week I have a few dinners/lunches out scheduled, so it might be a bit tricky, but I am going to stay on plan as much as possible. When a meal isn't perfect, I will do just as I did this week and make sure the next meal is! No beating myself up over it and no falling off the "wagon!" I just need to figure out a sleeping and exercising plan that is my goal to work on this week. Everything else is going so great, but I know it still needs to be a priority! I have a thought to maybe set an alarm on my phone for 9:45pm, so if I am still doing something, I will stop and get ready for bed? Anyone ever tried that? We'll see! Have a suggestion? I would love to hear it!
