I struggle at breakfast, because I know how wonderful eating eggs and protein is, but I often do not have time to make anything fancy. If I have 10 minutes for breakfast, I am lucky. I really love to eat a bowl of cereal, but I am left hungry after an hour. Until now!
I bought All Bran for a recipe and only used it that one time, it wasn't a hit and it sat in the cupboard. Then one day I bought a few different kinds of Kind Granola to try...
Vanilla Blueberry Clusters - labeled for Fiber
Peanut Butter Whole Grain Clusters -labeled for protein
Oats & Honey Clusters
One day, in a pinch, I added the two together and came up with a wonderfully quick and yummy breakfast that kept me full until lunch!
Easy Breakfast Crunch
Ingredients
1/3 cup - All Bran Buds
1/3 cup - Kind Granola - or another filling favorite*
Up to 1/2 cup - Vanilla unsweetened almond milk
Put 1/3 cup All Bran in a bowl
Add in 1/3 cup of Kind Granola.
I will often mix together 2 kinds. I usually fill the cup up most of the way with the Kind Peanut Clusters then add a little of one of the other kinds. Vanilla Blueberry, if I am feeling the need for more fiber and the Oats & Honey just adds a bit of extra yummy flavor when I want it!

Mix both with up to 1/2 cup almond milk and enjoy!!

I love how crunchy this breakfast is! The almond milk in it is almost creamy with all the other textures. All Bran by itself is a little blah, but when you add the granola it really brings it to another level.
As for hunger level, every once in a while, I will get a little hungry around 11AM (I eat breakfast by 8:15) but generally, I don't think about eating again until lunch around Noon.
Have a great day!
I've got a bag of granola left over from a brunch I hosted for my 5K friends a few months ago and I've been wondering what to do with it! Thanks for the idea, Sandy! I love granola, but I've heard it can be really fattening that's why I don't eat it, or buy it that much. Maybe I should just check the bag and see for myself!
ReplyDeleteI think it can be fattening if you eat a lot of it, but the beauty of this breakfast is that mixed with the All Bran, you can stick with the 1/3 cup and it is plenty filling! Let me know what you think!
DeleteMmmm this sounds yummy! I love granola!
ReplyDeleteYummy..I am a huge fan of almond milk!! and this is extremely filling!
ReplyDeleteohh! I bet my husband and son would like it. I need to look up this WW thing, how many points do you get a day?
ReplyDeleteGood idea... I have done this many times and really like it. :)
