Friday Favorites

Friday, April 17, 2015

It's Friday!! Not just any Friday, but the Friday that this mama leaves to go scrapbooking with one of my favorite friends for the weekend! This weekend is going to include lots of relaxation, going down memory lane while I scrapbook some older pictures, shopping, maybe a pedicure, eating, drinks and lots of chatting and catching up on our lives! I am beyond excited and can not wait! Although I will miss my family, I will make up for lost time next week when the kiddos are on vacation!

In honor of my scrapbooking weekend, I thought it would be fun to link up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites and show you some of my favorite scrapbook pages from the kids baby books!

For each of the kids, I scrapbooked a baby book for them. It includes pictures from my pregnancy, birth, each milestone and a calendar page for every month of their first year. Then after 12 months, I have a page for every birthday up to 5 years, then a page spread of all their school pics, K-12. These books are so special to me, and to the kids.

Here are my favorites from Olivia's book

Here are my favorites from Owen's book

Other than these baby books, I do a separate family scrapbook for every year. I am almost finished with the year 2012. I skipped 2007-2011 because in 2012 I decided I wanted to scrapbook stuff that was a little more current, but now again, I am 3 years behind with 5 other years to catch up on!

I know someday my kids won't want to hang around us, and Mike and I will have tons of free time to do the things we love to do, that now, we don't have any time for. Someday I will be so caught up on these books and I will be looking for projects and I will miss the days that I was so behind!

Now, I am off to go weigh in! Be back Monday with my results!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. I used to love scrapbooking! I have from 2003 up to 2011 or so with a missing section, and then I started up with the end of 2012 when my daughter was born but I went digital. I love both, but the digital sure is quicker haha =) Have such a great scrapbooking weekend!!!

  3. It looks like we've made baby scrapbooks very similar to each other, & I have plans to do some catching up this weekend as well, although yours with a friend and yummy food and hanging out sounds like more fun than me working on a craft table in the garage alone, lol. :-)

  4. Aww I love this! I always loved the idea of scrapbooking and wanted to start. I think I'll most likely start when I have my first kid. Baby books are such a good idea.
