I so much enjoy writing this blog, it is a great outlet for me and I have met some amazing people along this journey, but when life gets busy it is so hard for me to keep up. I am amazed by bloggers that consistently keep up with a Monday-Friday post schedule. I just can't seem to do it! I have decided that I am going to cut down to a 2-3 day per week schedule from now until the end of summer. I still want to keep you updated on my progress and new recipes that I find mixed in with a few other things,but you won't be hearing from me as much for the next few months.
Anyway, I know you are all wondering (unless you follow me on Instagram) whether or not I got into the 180's this past week??? Why, yes I did! Check it out!
Three reasons this week was a milestone, one of course, is the fact that I said goodbye to the 190's! I am super excited about that! Second, is that I just dropped below having less than 50 pounds left to lose! Lastly, I wore the jeans out of the house! If you have been following along from the beginning you would have read my How the Jeans Fit Friday posts and I never got to a point where I would wear those jeans out until Friday!!! Not a great pic, but I had to do a quick documentation....
I am still so amazed by my progress on Weight Watchers. I am loving it, the diet (if you can call it that) and my weight loss! I seem to have dropped from larger numbers to about a pound per week, which sometimes I feel disappointed and other times I realize that it is perfect. It is exactly what I need because I am still living life, but rather than gaining or maintaining, like I was before, I am slowly but surely taking the weight off!
I am really starting to notice a difference in my body, in pictures of myself, I am really starting to see a change in my face and I just couldn't be happier!
The past few weeks, I have not counted points on the weekends and have eaten whatever I want. Then on Mondays I get right back into the groove and stick to my daily points target of, 27, each day during the week until my weigh in on Saturday. I am getting in a little bit of exercise and some days I use the activity points and some days I don't. This system seems to be working for me, although I think if I wanted a bigger weight loss, I could probably see it if I tracked on the weekends. If we don't have anything going on for a weekend, I will give it a try, but for now I am going to stick with this.
Let's take a look at some of the things I have been eating over the last few weeks!

But I have mixed in a few other meals as well!

When I have the time to make an egg, this has been a great alternative for me. I love the peanut butter flavor and this breakfast keeps me full as well, for a few less points than the crunchy breakfast. This comes in handy if I know I will be eating more points than normal throughout the day or when I want to stop at Dunkin Donuts for an iced coffee! #justkeepinitreal
Lunch is always a bit random, although looking through my lunch pictures, I realize that I really only remember to take a pic when I am eating a wrap or pita. They almost always have ham in them and I almost always have carrots and ranch on the side! Then of course I need some crunch so pretzels or the Special K cracker chips, hit the spot!
I try to keep my lunch to 9 points or under!
Dinner has a few consistent days and some that vary. We always plan for breakfast for dinner or something quick on Wednesday nights and Friday nights is always pizza. I have been making my Pizza swap on most Fridays and one Friday I mixed up the marinara sauce for Alfredo, and it was the same amount of points. I liked the change and hope to try some pesto sauce next time!
I realized when I looked at the pictures, that I have been eating a lot more salads than I did before! I am still loving all of the Bolthouse Yogurt Dressings and if you haven't tried them you should! I haven't found one yet, that is more than 1 point plus for 2 full tablespoons!

When I am in a rush, I sometimes just make myself a frozen meal. The ones that I keep in the freezer vary from 7-9 points usually, then I add a side salad for a complete meal. I don't like to eat the frozen meals a lot, but in a pinch they work great to keep me on track!

Last night for the second time, I made this delicious meal and tomorrow, you have to come back for the recipe! I am so happy to share this recipe with you all, because I found a way to lighten it up, so that I don't have to save up tons of points for dinner! You don't want to miss it!
My new favorite snack is this...

Seriously, you must check out Drizzle Me Skinny, she has the art of drizzling all things I crave on her food to add very few points but tons of flavor! I have been trying this out on apples and bananas lately and it is fantastic! I love me some peanut butter and chocolate and this is how I eat it now!
The other thing I like about this snack, is that it is totally customizable based on how many points you have left for the day. If you have less than 2 points to spare, use less peanut butter or less chocolate chips. Some days I have skipped the chocolate chips all together. Some days, I have had more points and I up the peanut butter to a whole TBSP...even more delicious! This has been a snack that I look forward to...almost every day!
I have also been making my Chocolate Fruit Smoothie quite a bit.
I think the key for me to maintain my daily points during the week is to make sure I am eating foods that I like that aren't a ton of points, and sweets is one of those things. I love this smoothie because it is just sweet enough to fill my craving, but good for you so you don't have to feel guilty for eating it, every day if you choose!
