|On our way to North Conway!|
I am not a fan of roller coaster rides or any ride that I get dropped, go up too high or go too fast! So Storyland rides are perfect for me, until they made the Roar-a-saurus! Both my kiddos are little dare devils when it comes to the rides and they both wanted to ride the new wooden roller coaster. I felt bad leaving Olivia to sit by herself so I sucked it up and went. Good lord, this coaster was soo fast, there was a drop and it just whipped you around corners. I screamed the entire ride and came off the ride with a sore throat for the rest of the night. Everyone else loved it...
And if I am being honest, I don't look like I am enjoying the log flume either...
After we finished at Storyland, we headed to our condo, which was amazing! The kids loved it there and we ended the night with a bubble bath!
The next morning we got ready and went to Cranmore Mountain Adventures. We spent the entire day there. First we did the ropes course. I, of course, did the little kid one with Owen and that was perfect for me. I could not have done what Olivia and Mike did. I was super impressed with Olivia! Then they did the zip line across the park.
When they were finished, we took the ski lift to the top of the mountain and had lunch. This was our view for lunch....

The ski lift was not my favorite part of the day, and I decided at that moment, I would probably never ski! But the view was amazing and the everyone else loved it!
|I love a good cloud picture!|
After lunch, we did the rest of the rides they had there and headed back towards the condo for dinner. I was adventured out! I had done so many rides and things that made me nervous in the last two days. I was glad we were just planning to hang at the condo to enjoy the pools the next day!
Due to a family emergency, we had to leave the condo the next morning and head home. We hope to take the kids back there sometime to do the rest of the fun things we had planned, such as Flume Gorge and Clark's Trading Post in Lincoln, NH. Not sure it will happen this fall, but we will see!
Our next adventure happened a week before school started. We headed down to Massachusetts to visit my friend Mariah's mom. Just the moms and the kiddos went and we had such a great time. We did a bunch of relaxing, had lots of time at the beach and did a little exploring. It was exactly what the kids and I needed. I had spent a lot of time away from the kids in the weeks prior, so I was so glad to leave the housework and school prep behind and just have some fun!

I don't know where the summer went or, really, where did the last 5 years go?? How the heck do I have two elementary school aged children?? I am not complaining though, I would be lying if I said I was not excited to have a little bit of time to myself during the day! Owen said the day was "awesome" which I was so glad to hear, especially since he didn't make it onto the bus in the afternoon and I had to go get him! He was sitting in the hall with his teacher when I got there, but other than being happy to see me, he seemed totally fine! This is only the second day, so I am not really sure how each day will play out yet, but I can tell you, I have a to do list a mile long and I feel like I will finally accomplish some of it!
I am off to weigh in this morning, so tomorrow stay tuned for what the last month of summer did to my weight loss efforts. I can tell you, it probably won't be pretty, but I am back at it 100% right now and I can't wait to see what happens!
